Ich hab dort meinen ersten Introduction Tauchgang gemacht und Jann hat mich, obwohl ich davor Angst hatte, sooo sicher fühlen lassen, dass ich eine wundervolle Zeit hatte. Ich war wirklich nervös, aber er hat sich so nett Zeit für mich genommen und wir sind dann nur zu zweit zusammen getaucht. Ich könnte mir nicht vorstellen, wie jemand besser mit mir hätte umgehen können in der Situation. Perfektes Maß von Kompetenz, Ruhe und trotzdem Witz. Tausend Dank, wenn du das liest!!! Ich kann auch generell die Crew wirklich nur empfehlen. Man merkt, dass es eins der letzten Familienunternehmen ist und sie sich alle gut kennen und man selbst auf diesem Boot nicht nur eine von vielen Nummern ist. Ich denke, Ocean freedom ist vor allem für jeden, der Angst hat oder etwas älter/immobil ist, die perfekte Situation, um sich sicher zu fühlen. Ich war am nächsten Tag noch bei einem anderen Anbieter und es war viel, viel unpersönlicher. Hier bei der ocean freedom probiert man mit einem Mitarbeiter gemeinsam seine Ausrüstung an und sie schauen auch drüber. Es wird einem auch beim Aufsetzen der Brille geholfen und beim Flasche tauchen auch extra einem die Hand von einem weiteren Personalmitglied gegeben zum runtergeführt werden und es gab eine breite Treppe zum starten. Beim anderen Unternehmen hat man irgendwas bekommen und sollte sich melden, wenn es nicht passt und man musste beim Flaschentauchen einfach reinspringen. Es waren wirklich ganz viele kleine Dinge, auf die sie geachtet haben, die es wesentlich komfortabler und sicherer gemacht haben Das Riff war auch richtig toll. 1 Meter große Venusmuscheln, tolle Erklärungen, Glasbodenboot

I truly had such an incredible time at the Great Barrier Reef. Maybe half of that was from being amazed at the wonder of the reef itself and scuba diving. The other massive part was the incredible crew and in particular my dive instructor Mia. I really want to shout her out because of how integral she was to my experience simply being so spectacular and memorable. I have never been to the Great Barrier Reef or dived before. The tour did a great job selecting the reefs, and conditions were actually incredible. I want to focus on how nice the crew overall was though. In particular Mia was really friendly and conversational (Kelly from check in was also really nice) in a way that made the tour just so much more interesting of an experience. The food was decent for a cold spread, the boat was in good condition and the ride was comfortable for what it's worth, and pretty much all the gear being provided (and the glass boat tour thing) was also all much appreciated. For the main part of the review that I really just want to hone in on, was how awesome Mia was. I had never dived. She did such an incredible job in making sure that I never even had to care or think about it on my first dive. Yes, she also helped gear me up, and explain the safety drills and did them. Yet on the entire first dive, I just spent my entire time enthralled by the reef. I genuinely did not even give a single thought to safety because I just subconsciously knew and trusted (because Mia just did such an amazing job installing that confidence in me beforehand) that Mia would take care of everything. And I've never dived! Maybe with another tour or instructor I'd enjoy diving but I also think that I'd be conscious of it being my first time, which would make me spend at least a little time thinking about being safe in the water. Not with Mia, and I only realized this after. I was just able to be so locked in to just looking around and taking in the fish and corals. Mia pointed out just about everything I needed to see, corals and fish and whatever. She physically guided me where I needed to go, I just simply kicked my legs around. She did the work of guiding, not just side to side, but up and down as well as engaging and deflating my buoyancy vest to help me rise or fall to a better depth to look at stuff. Maybe any good dive instructor should do that, but really Mia was just so on point about all of that that the entire dive was just... perfect and flawless. It gets better too. Her energy and support and friendliness after the dive just as a person to chat to as a dive instructor, fellow passenger, and crew member really made my experience just that much more meaningful. And then the second dive, she checked that I was comfortable and confident enough to, and let me swim without having to be physically linked (like arms or touching) her, and that she'd be with me nearby in case of any issues. And despite me just swimming and moving around to whatever I wanted to see for however long with no particular direction or signals, she was always just there. Not so in my face that she ever was in my way or obstructing my view. Just that I knew she was around in case anything went wrong (and she was indeed always close by whenever I did look), which was just reassuring. And she also managed to figure out when I was done with a coral to just direct me to the next one, rather than jutting in while I was looking at one. I can't state enough that Mia was just an incredible from her role as a dive instructor. And what made the this experience so much more memorable and impactful for me was just who she was as a friendly person and as an amazing crew member. Her friendliness and excitement really just made this go from an incredible trip, to an incredible trip so much so that I want to actually leave a review (because I usually don't leave reviews). The whole crew was great, the experience was awesome, everything went smoothly, and I really just wanted to shout out Mia. Thanks again Mia!

Ocean Freedom was an amazing experience! The friendliest crew, great food, and very welcoming group of people. The crew made us feel very safe and were so knowledgeable about the reefs. Would 100% recommend plus we left with full bellies!

Coming from someone who cannot swim, terrified of water, as i say myself i would drown in a bath…. these guys were amazing! Ian- took me to the water for the first time for snorkelling reassured me all the way and made the experience great. TOM- well where do i start…!!! This man was outstanding. Tom was my diving instructor and with his knowledge and expertise i forgot how afraid i was of water never mind going to swim under water with sharks/turtles etc.. I cannot emphasise enough how comfortable Tom and his team made me feel through out the experience… lovely food, atmosphere, experience. To leave this experience to have made life long friends with many staff as a solo travel in cairns….be ready il be back! OceanFree team keep doing what you do

From the reservation ladies to the crew on board, all exceptional. Crew members are fun and they really help you have a good time regardless of whether you’re a beginner or a pro at snorkeling or scuba diving. Food is also good! Though pasta and chicken were cold, the other options were tasty! Would definitely come back. The scuba diving instructor shown in the video was very patient, kind and thoughtful.

By far the best tour i’ve been on, and i’ve been on many. I want to begin by thanking the crew for making our day on the Great Barrier Reef so special and so comfortable. Their respect for the ocean, all marine life and all guests on their boat radiates from the staff and they go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a good time. My mother, a poor swimmer and usually anxious felt so safe and well taken care of by the crew that she was gushing about the trip her whole way home and afterwards as well. They have thought of everything you might need from nausea meds to introductory snorkeling, sunscreen, wetsuits and literally everything else. The glass bottom boat tours is such a great alternative for older people who aren’t too confident swimming, and they also keep a watchful eye on experienced swimmers and snorkelers to make sure everyone is well taken care off. If nothing else, the crew should be enough reason to choose ocean freedom, for those 6 hours, they took the role of family and that was everything i could ask for. Thank you OceanFreedom

My husband and I came to Cairns to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary after meeting here 21 years ago. We booked a reef trip with Ocean Freedom and can't say enough good things about them. The crew were so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. We had an amazing day on the water and would highly recommend them to anyone! Absolutely amazing. The boat was well equipped, not too many passengers, beautiful locations for snorkeling, and plenty of time to explore the reef. The scuba was excellent, the instructors were fantastic and adjusted the experience for each persons comfort in the water. The crew were super friendly and helpful, shoutout to Kelly who was amazing. This was the most fantastic snorkelling experience I could’ve asked for. I will be going back next year to do the whole thing again, maybe twice in the same trip! The crew were superb, easy going and knowledgeable. Clearly they love their job. The boat was well equipped with quality equipment and everything you’d need. Small group with plenty of room to move around. We had more than enough time snorkelling at two different stunning locations, glass bottom boat tour, drift snorkelling tour with Tori the human fish (I swear she has gills!) was a highlight. Lunch was huge and varied with soooo much delicious food for everyone. Many activities and none of it felt rushed. To top it off I had an up close experience with turtle, a reef shark and saw hundreds of different fish. Thank you Ocean Freedom. This was the highlight of my trip to cairns

Great tour with a young, funny and extremely helpful team with a relatively low number of guests. Tour is also recommendable to people with no snorkeling or low swim skills as the team will help you in the best way. In addition you will also have a glassbottom boat ride. Easy access to the water (stairs). Refreshments, lunch and snacks also included. We saw corals, plenty of fish, stingrays and sea turtles close by. It was absolutely worth it!!!

We are a family of 4 with 2 older teenaged children. The ocean free sailboat was fabulous and it was so relaxing. It was a small group of people with exclusive use of a piece of the reef where we saw so much coral, tropical fish and reef sharks. Our crew/hosts were wonderful & friendly and added so much to the experience. I highly recommend and will do it again if I visit Cairns in the future!!

Today I travelled on Ocean Freedom with my close mate and we had a blast !! We snorkelled on two sites which were very different from each other. We saw a Green Sea Turtle a White Tip Reef shark within 5 minutes of jumping in, the weather was great and our skipper Ambrose had organised the day to perfection ! Tori our dive instructor was patient knowledgeable and very comforting on our first dive experience !! Definitely recommend Ocean Freedom

It was an awesome day with Taryn, Perry and Jazz and captain Mike . Snorkeling was lovely we saw lots of reef and fish . The lunch and snacks were delicious and we enjoyed the sail !! Thank you so much for making my birthday special ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Wir fühlten uns von Anfang an bestens aufgehoben. Die Crew war unglaublich freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Da maximal 25 Teilnehmer auf das Boot genommen werden, ist die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm, persönlich und familiär. Man fühlt sich hier definitiv nicht wie eine Nummer, wie es bei grösseren Anbietern manchmal der Fall ist. Wir waren zum ersten Mal tauchen und wurden Schritt für Schritt begleitet und instruiert. Dabei fühlten wir uns jederzeit ernst genommen und vollkommen sicher. Die Crew nahm sich die nötige Zeit und vermittelte uns von Anfang an ein gutes Gefühl. Wenn euch eine familiäre, persönliche und tolle Atmosphäre wichtiger ist als der Preis allein, ist dieser Anbieter für mich ganz klar die beste Wahl. Vielen Dank an die grossartige Crew! Ocean Freedom was hands down one of the highlights of our Australia trip! The crew was incredible—friendly, funny, and made everyone feel safe and welcome. The snorkeling was absolutely breathtaking with crystal-clear water, colorful coral, and amazing marine life. Everything was well organized and the whole day was unforgettable. Amazing tour with great guides and a lot of animals seen

We had a great tour with Ocean Freedom, the crew were all so friendly, very knowledgeable and it was a well organised experience. The tour took us to some stunning locations where we saw a range of marine life such as turtles, reef sharks and rays, did a glass bottom boat and drift snorkel as well as snorkeling at 2 locations, would definitely support this locally owned business again!

I rarely give 5 star reviews, but when I do it is because the business has a little bit of extra magic. The Ocean Freedom crew have this in spades. Patient, professional. Safety above everything and fun. We had a great trip out to a couple of snorkelling sites and spent close to 4 hours in the water. Worth noting that this is a boat for diving and snorkelling from, not a cruise boat. Doorways are narrower and steps are steeper than the bigger ferrys because it is a working boat. Still a very comfortable trip with excellent food and impeccable service. The playlist of tunes was spot on for the audience and the cake and cheese platters on the way home were good too.

What an amazing day!! The crew are the most friendly, fun, professional, courteous and accommodating people you could ever hope for to make your trip to the outer reef memorable. I’d highly recommend these guys when travelling out of Cairns.

If you are looking for great Reef Experience in Cairns, look no further. Absolutely fantastic team, Smaller group and longer hours of Reef time. Mia took us for a scuba. She was absolutely amazing. They covered 2 different Reef in a same day still plenty of time for snorkelling and glass bottom boat, complementary guided Snorkelling tour and best scuba diving experience. They were very professional. Amazing food and snacks throughout the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed. I would highly recommend it to everyone.
